Our first stay at the picturesque Lincoln cabin has been a bird and nature paradise. Greeted by cardinals, bluejays, orioles, and woodpeckers each morning made it a colorful choir of harmonious songs echoing through the sunlit trees. Joining them in a daily breakfast birdseed treat was a big ole fat Turkey! Upon arrival, we were priveledged to have a Barred Owl visit us perched high in the tree by the outdoor benches. While playing games at the Sunroom table, a deer pranced across the open field. Raccoon mayham in the midnight hour let us know that they live here permanently. Our daily ritual of a relaxed whirlpool massage and then quiet and reflective time before the fire in this cozy woodland haven was truly heavenly nourishment for the soul. We simply can not say enough about our joy-filled stay in this home- away from home forest and meadow lodging. We loved the trail hikes too! We look forward to our next sojourn here!!!

Our favorite retreat! we are lifers!! I came her with Rocco (my dog) three years ago and loved it. This year I've shared my love of this cottage with my dog and my boyfriennd we are alrealy planning our next vacation up here!

Wonderful vacation! We loved the location, very peaceful and beautiful scenery. Matt and I would much rather be out in the country than in town with a bunch of people. Everything was very accomodating: the firewood, sirius radio, WI FI, TV with a DVD player, and a huge bathtub. It was the perfect place for the break we needed from our busy lives. Thank You!

This was our first time here. Way more than we expected! Its beautiful with tons of amenities, yet secluded and private. And we loved that we could bring our three dogs! We loved our stay and will definitely be back soon!

We enjoyed our first Anniversary at his wonderful cottage! Just as we enjoyed our honeymoon last year at the Fieldstone. It's the perfect place to cozy up in when its cold and snowy outside. We look forward to our future visits to Door County Cottages.

It was our second time at the Elena, and it was just wonderful. A little snowier than we had hoped but we still enjoyed our time in the warm, cozy cabin. Our little westies had so much fun as well. We can't wait until we come back!

This was a fantastic trip and cabin! All of the amenities leave absolutley nothing to be derived, my husband loved the fire pit inside and outside... and the hot tub was a favorite of both of ours. For a young couple's honeymoon trip, it was the perfect getaway to snuggle up and enjoy and winter! We will be telling all of our friends about this little heaven.

This was truly an amazing birthday weekend. We came here from Chicago and typically always get stressed about bringing everything we need when we travel, but not this time. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed, and it made our experience that much better. We might make this a family tradition! Thank you for everything!

Very comfortable cabin, easy to cook in and comfortable to relax in. Nice trails around the property as well as lots of trails in the nearby State Parks. We wanted to x-country ski but hiking was nice too. Woke up to Beautiful!!! snowfall to watch through the many windows. Babs, our dog, had the best vacation of her life! Also loved the music!! Don't usually listen on vacation, but what a nice system.

Our first dog vacation and my first vacation in 20 years. Everything I was hoping for and more!!! Relaxed, played with dogs, went for walks, lots of naps. No TV, cellphones, or other people. :) Very peaceful and charming place to be. Hoping to make this a new yearly family tradition. Even heard some owls which we were hoping for. Hope we see "The Lincoln" next year.

Beautiful rustic place with the modern amenities – we loved it. And so did our dog! Nobody bothered us and Door County is beautiful! I think we will be back again – with the kids next time!

Once again, we had an absolute perfect vacation, over the holidays at Door County Cottages. We arrived the evening of December 23 and will be leaving today, January 6,2013. It was our intention to spend Christmas 2012 and stay a few days after New Year 2014. There are three members to our family- Duane, Gail, and Lola, our black labradour. We enjoyed the comfortable log cabin cottage.

We enjoyed walking the snow covered trails, while Lola runs beside us. While walking, we rang the wind chimes, we rode the bicycle, we took pictures of the people in the mirror, we gazed at the hot air balloon, but most of all we enjoyed seeing the two faces in the tree -- especially Lola who jumped on the trees to greet them!

After our second daily walk, we returned to the cottage to a wonderful meal prepared by Gail. We built a blazing fire in the fireplace. We raised our filled wine glasses and toast our wonderful life and great friends. Each year is better than the last. We can't wait for our return!

Just what we needed!  A very relaxing and peaceful get away from the hustle + bustle of the city. The lodging and amenities were very accommodating and enjoyable. Hope to return soon! Happy Spring.

Our second time here and it was awesome again. Keeping the feeders filled allowed for some great bird watching. The suet feeder was the most popular. There are several varieties of woodpeckers, including a pair of Pilated Woodpeckers which are somewhat rare to see - they are HUGE. The time here was very relaxing with the fireplace and dog walks. It was very difficult to leave!! We will be back!

We had an amazing time this weekend with our 2 children, ages 4 + 7. The log cabin was beautiful and equipped with everything we needed - including somore sticks which we forgot. Thank you for a beautiful, well prepared cabin with amazing scenery! We will definitely be back. Thank You.
